The Wife of Noble Character

When I met the Muro family a few years ago, I was instantly enamored by Yessica's beauty. There was something captivating about a woman who is shy and soft-spoken, but I knew there was much, much more. Over the course of a year or so, I had the pleasure of praying alongside the Muro family, ministering at Women's Prison with Yessica and learning little Elias loved dinosaurs as much as I did.

It was shortly thereafter the Muro family announced Elias would soon be a "Big Brother", the congregation melted, and tears of joy trickled down Yessica's cheeks.

A week did not go by when God put it on my heart to photograph this beautiful family. He asked me to capture one of His most beautiful gifts, Life. Honored by His request, I humbly inquired about setting up a maternity session, and with equal humility; they agreed.

Months flew by and Yessica's little belly grew, we finally tackled down and date for her maternity session and upon arrival, God reminded me of a scripture in Proverbs 31:20-22 She opens her arms to the poor

and extends her hands to the needy.

When it snows, she has no fear for her household;

for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

She makes coverings for her bed;

she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

and again in Proverbs 31:27-31

She watched over the affairs of her household

and does not ear the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed;

her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do notable things.

but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty if fleeting;

but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

Honor her for all that her hands have done,

and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

As many maternity sessions as I have photographed, this one was extra special for me; because God created it. He alone, handcrafted a divine appointment, long before Yessica and I ever met. Over the last seven months, God was able to intercede through fellowship, prayer, photographs and even a crawfish boil. My loving God chose a Jesus loving family to pray for my new marriage, while praying for their own. God created a friendships, God created art, God created a beating heart and most of all, God created LOVE.
