While fasting for the Holy Spirit and Fire last month, God put it on my heart to create a lesson plan for a March Bible Study, called "MARCH Through the Gospels".
Though it was the day before March, it would consist of a small number of ladies from Our Fellowship Christian Church who would come together on Thursday evening, snack on something sweet, we would sip on a little hot tea and emerge ourselves in a whole 'lotta Jesus!
Pastor instantly approved the lesson plan and I spent the remaining day contacting the ladies from the church.
It was then, the nervousness set in.
All of sudden the enemy reminded me I had absolutely no experience in teaching a group of ladies. The devil also included no one would show up because of the tardiness of creating the lesson plan.
Shortly thereafter, Moses' conversation with the Lord came to mind,
Then Moses said to the Lord, "O my Lord, I am not eloquent neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue."
So the Lord said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say." -Exodus 4:10-12
After a firm discussion and a little bit of repentance, the enemy was no more!
My husband and I attended prayer as usual that Wednesday night and I verbally invited a few ladies to Thursday's meeting. To my surprise, I know, I should not be surprised, I had a few interests.
The next day rolled around faster than I had anticipated and it was time to open the doors for Thursday's Ladies Bible Study.
So, I waited ...
and waited.
Minutes felt like hours then one lady trickled in, giggling with two others.
Just as God had planned, we started off with cute cupcakes, hot tea and spent the next two hours digging into the Word. Within minutes, the Holy Spirit descended and filled the library with revelations, confirmations and a new light over The Gospels.
This Thursday marks the fourth Thursday of the Bible Study adapted from The Daily Grace Co. We have successfully read, mediated and prayed though Matthew, Mark, currently in Luke and finishing up with John next Thursday.
Our 'hour' has currently reached a high of three hours after last week and I am thoroughly enjoying every moment, watching God create beautiful friendships right under my nose.
I am honored that even in my insecurities like Moses, God decided to use me, little, ole me to minister, teach and love on these beautiful ladies.
