On A Mission

In 2015, I met a young couple at church and within minutes, I knew it was only a matter of time before they were married. Low and behold, a couple of years later, Elden bruised his knee when he knelt down to ask Jennifer to marry him. Shortly thereafter, The Rivas crew would continue to preach the gospel all over the world. This particular couple thrives by doing God's work in the mission field. Whether it's in the dark alley of Houston or overseas, Elden and Jennifer have a special place in their hearts for the lost and lonely.

Human trafficking for this couple has been a special type of pull on their heart strings. After going through numerous years in Discipleship Training and digging into the Word, they have blossomed into one of Houston's most renowned missionaries.

In July, this beautiful family will be off to Paris to share the gospel to numerous people. Not just anyone -- but to women who believe they have no other option than human trafficking.

Guess what? Our God is the Healer and Restorer of all things, giving everyone the opportunity to find His love, mercy and grace. The Rivas's have received numerous confirmations, that they will be the vessels to share this Good News.

As you may know, most missionaries tend to have full time careers, children, mortgages, etc. so today I challenge you to join me in supporting Elden and Jennifer on their upcoming journey.

Now, I know what you might be thinking ... "Paris, they're doing a mission trip in Paris?" Yes! And it will be fruitful!

Without a shadow of a doubt, they will be working timeless hours, giving up their hard earned income, accumulated vacation hours and extracurricular activities, all to do God's work.

Their willingness to be obedient to the scripture, Matthew 28:16-20 is why it will be fruitful.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

These two never cease to amaze me and I could not help but to share with my family and friends. Though we're not going to be with them in Paris, you can help support them on this adventure by purchasing one of their locally designed shirts found below.

Adult shirts are $24, Children shirts are $20 and after 3 or more ordered, the discount goes to $18 per shirt. Guys, this is a steal! They have put their own time into creating these amazing shirts and you don't want to miss out.

Whether it is in prayer, fasting or an offering, all donations will be appreciated. All proceeds will be given to Elden and Jennifer to ensure their safety while they are in the mission field. Thank you all for joining in as a body of Christ and ensuring this couple get to do God's work in July!

With love,
