Good afternoon all! I wanted to drop into your inbox and let you know I will be taking time away from social media to dig deeper into a heart of thanksgiving with my Heavenly Father over the next couple of days.
During this hectic time with food shopping, meal prepping, and family gatherings, I want to remind myself of the reason for the season; in hopes to encourage you to do the same. I mean,
"What if you woke up today with only the things that you thanked God for yesterday?"
My hope is this quote brought you to your knees as it did me, because we cannot let the busyness of life and the holiday season disrupt our hearts of thanksgiving. Psalm 107:8-9 says,
"Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for mankind, for He satisfies the the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
No amount of turkey and dressing will come close to His unfailing love.
Though this will be my first Thanksgiving without my loving mother by my side, I know she would want me share a few things I am thankful for because this too, was her favorite time of year. Mom would write some of the most beautiful Thanksgiving blessings before we sat down at the table and I believe this tradition should conitnue on ...
So, what are YOU thankful for this holiday season?
I invite you to write a love letter to Your Heavenly Father for all the things He provides. Whether they are big or small or you read them out loud during your Thanksgiving dinner. Let's give Him the praises He deserves!
Happy Thanksgiving,
