Walk with Me

I'm not sure about you, but I always have my "go to" scriptures. No matter where I am, these scriptures are always imprinted on my heart.

Though my list may not be lengthy, it is mighty. The Word always comes through, in good times and in those times where it takes a little more effort than usual.

So, walk with me ...

Psalm 91:4 : He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."

This scripture takes me to a place where I can feel my Father's warm embrace. I feel protected and secure in everything I do. He is always with me and this Scripture reminds me I am not ever stepping out of the nest alone.

Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart , for everything you do flows from it."

I take hold of these very words and share them as often as possible. God has placed it on my heart for years to be aware who and where I receive advice. Most importantly, it is constant reminder of not hardening my heart when things do not go my way or if I have been hurt. God gave me one heart and it is my job to be kind to the heart He gave me.

Hebrews 6:19 "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure..."

This scripture tugs at my heartstrings. When I am feeling lost or lonely I can feel God tugging on me from the bottom of my heart; the anchor is my reminder that He is stronger than all! No matter what my mind tries to sway me into, His love is secure and firm and most of all, not going anywhere.

Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;"

One of the simplest scriptures seems to be the most difficult for me. Proverbs 3:5 is with me daily, I mean, each and every day. I tend to grasp on to what I believe is the right thing to do and no matter what, I come up short when I take my route and not my Father's.

Romans 11:29 "For God's gifts and his call are irrevocable."

Here is another scripture I find myself always come crying back to, especially when it comes to writing. It has been on my heart to write for some time now and if there is a blip in the writing process, I feel as though I have completely lost it. And this is NOT how God works. He does not put things on your heart for no good reason.
