For some time now, Crystal Williams and I have been getting together on a weekly basis to chit chat about all the wonderful things bloggers usually talk about -- books, coffee and Jesus of course.
Over the last month or so, we have both been swamped and unable to meet and I could not help to wonder if our weekly meetups were just for a season. Though we still checked in every week, we were not keeping each other active and accountable for reading and writing. I cannot speak for Crystal but I sure know I need an extra push every once in a while.
So, we finally tackled down a Tuesday to get together and here we are, giggling about all the wonderful things God has done in our lives while on our little hiatus.
Weeks flew by but it was as if we met up last week, nothing has changed. Crystal is still saving the world, one disciple at a time, loving Jesus with every ounce in her body. I believe she's even reading a book or two but I'll let her tell you about Everybody Always.
Until then, I want to thank God for good, wholesome friendships. Friendships which do not require an exuberant amount of effort but filled with love and prayers. Not ones with drama or suck the life out of you but rather speak life into you. Trust me, these types of friendships are priceless and praiseworthy!
Thank you Father for putting people in my life who bring life and love. Thank you for showing me how to be the best version of myself and how to be a friend at all times. Thank you for giving me a heart which believes in loyalty, honor and commitment. Heavenly Father, thank you for setting people aside for me to enjoy, build relationships and create wonderful memories along the way. You Father are my best friend and You care enough about me to provide others to talk about You! I graciously praise you Father for creating friendships in which I never knew could and would exist. As much as I fought it Lord, thank you for breaking down my walls and mending my heart. If it were not for Your sewing kit to knit back my heart, who knows how alone I would be. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart for providing like-minded individuals who help keep me accountable and in line with Your Word.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
